Breaking bread

I know I have said it before, but I will say it again. It is, in my dotage, one of my favourite things to share a meal with people. Be it our usual evening meal at home, or a posh-nosh extravaganza out, or indeed a simple bowl of noodles in the kitchen at NewNewWork. There is something about eating with people. Fine chat, fine food and sometimes fine wine.

Off we trotted (again) to River Farm Smokery, to partake of a selection of meats, bread and cheeses.

What wasn’t to like? We never got any cheese last time (nor indeed chicken), but we did this go, and boy, was it ever good. The cheese. Dear goodness, the cheese. Wonderful.

So thank you, to those who shared the meal (Robbie (of course), Heather and Lee), thank you to Dan for the glorious lunch, and we all look forward to the French Sour Bread with jam tomorrow, as we were all too stuffed to eat it. Sorry, we were all to contented to eat any more. Pleasantly contented. Must be so, as a nap around now would be great…

  1. I am becoming quite envious of your local smokery.

  2. I don’t know what to say. Except that I am glad you enjoyed it and sorry I missed you………

PS. Don’t mention the non-free-range chicken.
