Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
All thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, Thou art all compassion,
Pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation;
Enter every trembling heart.

This day, many, many years ago, before the birth of my children, my girlfriend became my wife. We have been up and down, in and out and round and about, but we are still we.

Both of us are different, neither of us are the same, but we are still two parts of the one whole.

To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

I wonder what the verse from Delphi said, all those years ago?

Getting her into that corn field was a palaver

  1. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
    Let the earth hear His voice!
    Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
    Let the people rejoice!
    O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
    And give Him the glory, great things He has done.

    Congrats to you and yours! :-)

  3. Congratulations to both of you.

    Somewhat careless of your bride and the photographer to get lost in a barley field, nonetheless it is an excellent photo.
